Our Type 1 Inspection is a foundational service designed to assess the overall health and performance of your HVAC system, ensuring cleaner air and a more efficient system.
This comprehensive inspection covers:
•Cleanliness of HVAC System and Ductwork

Using industry standards and advanced tools, we inspect all key areas of your HVAC and duct system to determine if cleaning or repairs are needed. This includes a visual inspection following the 2021 NADCA ACR Standards, with photos taken inside your duct system and air handler to document the state of your equipment.
What We Check:
•Duct and System Cleanliness: Photographic documentation of your return and supply ducts, air handler cabinet, evaporator coils, and blower fan
•Interior Inspection with Borescope Camera: We inspect the supply and return plenum boxes for hidden issues
•Detailed Vent Inspection: At least one return and three supply vents are inspected, with further checks if issues are detected
Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) Testing
An Air Advice 30-Minute IAQ is performed to measure air quality levels inside your home, and provide a 3rd party generated ‘Flash Report’ indicating the current quality of your indoor air. This report covers particulate matter, VOCs (chemicals), carbon dioxide, temperature, humidity, and carbon monoxide. The findings are emailed to our team and reviewed with you during a final inspection consultation.
Airflow and Temperature Testing
Using the TEC TrueFlow Grid, we measure overall HVAC performance, including airflow and static pressure, to assess equipment efficiency.
Additionally, temperature tests at multiple points reveal temperature differences, allowing us to identify any energy losses and pinpoint issues in longer duct pathways.
